Please accept my apologies
Its been a busy month or so
Its been an incredibly busy month or so and so writing has taken a bit of a rest as has the muse but normal service will resume shortly. I could have asked the AI to draft something but I think that cheats both the writer and the receiver. Instead I got it to do me a picture
I’ve had fun with my grandson who will only let me read The Hobbit to him (we’ve just reached Laketown)
I’ve spent some time in Makerfield with the by election and I’ll have some observations and thoughts about that
Sandy and I went to Krakow primarily so that we could both go to Auschwitz, as Sandy has studied and talked extensively to Holocaust survivors. I went as a form of remembrance to Manfred Goldberg who was an amazing Holocaust survivor although in a different camp (Stutthof) However there were other observations about Krakow and Poland that I made.
We’ve also been seeing friends and I’ve been reading and researching around UK politics and some actions to get the UK out of its slough of despond.
Its all part of being retired and with the heat it took me back to 1976 with the heatwave but also caused me to reflect on cricket as it is now and then and why I havent watched hardly any cricket this year.
I write for pleasure and not that I write to meet a deadline or for paying subscribers. I did not retire from one treadmill to jump on another.
